I could not wait to share this painting. It’s so dear to me!! Today I dropped off two paintings to be displayed in the blossoms of hope exhibit and I was brought back to the very first painting I sold in my very first ever art exhibit!
Because well blossoms, plus this painting was created for my grandmothers love of hummingbirds. She lost her battle to breast cancer, and ever year I honor her with a painting through this exhibit.

Also I’ll never forget the feeling of, are people going to like my work, will anything sell...you know the feeing. And this one was claimed before it made it on the wall!

Prompt 3 for #aprilforartists is my studio/creative space

On a real note, it’s messy but man am I so thankful. This journey started out with a floor space and a handful of art supplies. It has now turned into two complete room spaces in my home. One huge room has been converted into my studio and my husband made me a front room gallery to show my art and allow visitors to come shop my available art and jewelry!

How lucky am I?!

And even with two full rooms you will find two closets in our basement, one filled with frames the other with canvases 🤦‍♀️ it’s slowly taking over #sorrynotsorry
